Carreg Law’s commercial property team
Carreg Law’s commercial property team comprises Edward, Carys and Freddie.
Edward is both a solicitor and a notary public. He has extensive experience of commercial property matters built up over 12 years. Edward’s training and experience as a notary has equipped him with an enhanced commercial awareness; the application of his knowledge in this area certainly puts our clients at an advantage when negotiating on commercial property matters. Edward is open, transparent and approachable with clients. He has an efficient command of IT and is especially adept at using our mapping software.
Carys is a solicitor with a comprehensive knowledge of property established over 13 years. Having always worked in Wales, Carys is very familiar with the typical peculiarities of Welsh properties. She is highly organised, systematic and thorough. Carys is dedicated, hard working and has a strong sense of priority, which is certainly helpful when there’s a short deadline to work to.
Freddie has many years' legal experience ranging from a London law firm to running her own practice in Monmouth and, most recently, as Legal Director in the Wye Valley branch of a top 70 UK law firm. As part of the Carreg Law conveyancing team, Freddie continues with her friendly and efficient approach to working with clients. Her aim is to make the process of moving home as seamless as possible and to minimise the inevitable stress for clients.
Edward, Carys and Freddie have worked on diverse commercial property matters in their careers, including high street shops and offices, restaurants, cafes, pubs, hotels, industrial estate units, warehouses, warehouses, a gym, an airfield, a mart, police stations and housing developments including one numbering over 40 houses from inception to the sale of finished properties.
Edward, Carys and Freddie work collaboratively and closely, so you can be assured that they will be in synergy with each other on your commercial matter. The advantage to you as a client is that you get the benefit of the combined experience of Edward, Carys and Freddie.
Edward, Carys and Freddie all speak Welsh, with Edward and Carys being fluent.
Why use Carreg Law for your commercial property matter?
We’re solicitors
The practice and its solicitors are registered with, and authorised by, the Solicitors Regulation Authority. You can therefore be assured that you’ll not only get the expertise and experience of independent legal advisors, but also the protection and peace of mind that comes with instructing regulated professionals.
We’re commercially minded
We look out for the details which can give you a competitive advantage and/or reduce your costs.
We’re on the panel of approved solicitors for most mortgage companies
If you’re buying with a mortgage, then we need to be on your mortgage company’s panel of approved solicitors. Carreg Law has joined the panel of approved solicitors for most mortgage companies.
We can produce Land Registry compliant plans
We have the necessary software and skills to produce plans required for the registration of land with HM Land Registry. Many solicitors would rely on the services of third parties such as land agents to produce these plans. Comparatively, our fees are very reasonable which often saves our clients hundreds of pounds.
We work electronically
Whenever possible, we work paper-free and using the internet, which keeps things moving at a pace.
We’re independent
We don’t receive any commission or referral fees from companies such as estate agents.
We do a great job!
We’re a friendly, energetic and purposeful team.
